Just got this idea for some reason after I read that there is a new marvel game coming out soon. No, I don't expect it to be a sequel to MH but this thread idea came to my mind for some reason.
Yeah so whether you expect a sequel in the next few years or not, I'd like to talk about what it would look like if it were to actually happen.
I don't think it's out of the question that whether by Gazillion or not, (I wouldn't be opposed of Gaz keeping to make more Marvel games with a new contract) in 3 to 5 years we might get another game like this one, maybe an ARPG again, maybe an MMO. Heck, I think it's likely.
So let's talk about what certainly would happen.
Unless something changes with the movie rights, ANY new Marvel game will NOT include X-Men, FF or Maximoff Twins in their games. For proof you can look at the recently launched games like, Avengers Academy, Avengers Alliance 2, Mighty Marvel Heroes, Marvel Tsum Tsum or Marvel Future Fight. For some reason even Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren't in any of those games. I don't like it but it is what it is. (please let's not turn this thread into an argument about this situation, even if you don't believe the obvious, pretend you do please.)
So with that out of the way what do you think the game would look like? How would the roster be at launch? After that, which characters would get added? What kind of story would it have? Which villains? Let's discuss.
If we're going for about 25 heroes at launch again, I think the roster would look something like:
Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Captain Marvel, Falcon, War Machine, She-Hulk, Ant-Man, Wasp, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Drax, Star-Lord, Groot, Dr. Strange, Vision, Black Panther.
Shortly after these I'm sure we would be looking at: Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, Spider-Woman, Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel, Silk, Thor(Jane), Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, Angela, Ghost Rider, Mockingbird, Black Bolt
Add some villains here and there: MODOK, Venom, Green Goblin, Ultron, Loki, Thanos, Electro, Carnage etc.
I'd assume Thanos would be the big bad like Dr. Doom is now. I guess Infinity Gems would play a huge role in the story and the gearing.
