Is a homogenized archetype system the future of MH?

I've been mulling over this idea lately, and originally approached it with doom-n-gloom... but the more I've thought about it, the more I realize it makes sense for the future of Marvel Heroes.

The idea: define X number of "archetypes" (i.e. ranged AoE, ranged DoT, melee AoE, melee DoT, etc.) & classify existing and future heroes to model the archetype.

Give each archetype Y number of specific abilities that carry from hero-to-hero, and then give each hero Z lore-appropriate "flavor" spells to make them semi-unique (such as teleport). Homogenize damage numbers across the shared abilities in each Archetype... and whammy, no more flavor-of-the-month overpowered balancing issues.

Is this part of the big secret announcement in the coming weeks? I won't be surprised... it should hypothetically allow streamlining the creation of heroes around balance, and result in heroes only requiring artwork and some engineering, much less to the degree of custom hero building that currently takes place.

As I mentioned in opening, I was originally fearful this would "kill" the game... but if done properly, I could see it working wonders across the board.

Thoughts on this idea? What do others think the missing recent QoL spell for the future of Marvel Heroes?
