Is there any poll or any other data suggesting that he is really wanted by many people?
The poll I know places him at 23. With mostly heroes [as oposed to villains] above him. He also is both far from hero and far from being mainstream. So my question is why him while many more popular, more wanted heroes will be after him?

Ok well, I was really excited to see Juggernaut again. Good or bad, he is a favorite of mine, even if he sucks in the game. There was "trying to be funny" feel about the book and it was a bit off for me. Im hoping with more Magneto page time it wont be that way. I am convinced that Jimmy Hudson is the Wolverine we are seeing at the end of the book. I think the start was good, I'm hoping for better down the line. Especially since this is the last shot the displaced O5 are getting from me.

New Tech & What This Means


I really wanted to bring this up since it's unclear the direction that Marvel Heroes is heading or can head as far as it's guidelines for Heroes/powers/costumes.

@Asros brought up this:

which I think is amazing news becuase it allows for a little more flexability and creativity when it comes to characters. I'm not sure if it's safe to say it will require less work but it allows for characters that have overlapping functionality/powers with perhaps minor uniquenesses to potentially get put into the game.

The implications of this could be that characters with similar but different power sets will no longer be an obstacle for the hero selection process.

How Marvel Heroes chooses to proceed with this and the depth to which they wish to persue it are both still left unclear.

Now I'm going to bring up an example of another Marvel game that employs similar character design in it's roster: Marvel Future Fight.

Not only does Marvel Future Fight offer similar characters as seperate entities (such as Iron Man & Hulkbuster, Thor and Unworthy Thor) but it also offers costumes that essentially give qols to the characters and change the powers functions and design.

This makes me wonder if it's a possbility for Marvel Heroes to retroactively make changes/additions to certain enhanced costumes that currently exist such as Wiccan and Iron Man's Hulkbuster to make them unique from their assigned characters.

Or if these characters would be better off re-released as new characters under the Unworthy Thor design.

Also I am curious as to which aspects will be chosen to focus on. Perhaps talents or traits or powers or a combination of things. The specifics of the tech and it's limitations leaves room for the imagination but I feel like this is a postive change.

Possible Heroes Choices


There is quite a long list of heroes that I think could make the "enhanced costume list" of characters that have similar power sets with minor deviations in design, execution or other various aspects.

@Asros even asked for ideas:

Of course I don't think this means that this is going to be a reality any time soon but I thought it was worth mentioning to allow the community to brainstorm possible costumes that could benefit from this new direction.

I think the major thing holding Marvel Heroes back right now is the costume blender. Right now that is the major obstacle keeping costumes from being a profitable source of revenue for MH imo. I feel like if that was removed or if these new power costumes were left out of the pool of costumes and put at their own pricing to be in line with the amount of work it would take to implement them then that would be a much more beneficial model for Gazillion moving forward.

Hero vs. Costume & Future Direction


This entire subject also intrigues me becuase I would like to know what direction is being taken with Heroes. For example Thor and Unworthy Thor.

Becuase of the way that Marvel Heroes has traditionally released Heroes it's usually understood that Heroes as far as the physical person are limited by the identity itself and then any additonal personas are released in the form of costumes.

Would this allow for Unworthy Thor to become a costume for Thor with all of the power/talent/trait changes of essentially a new character that the team originally wanted? The downside of this type of release would mean that players would need Thor as a prerequisite for the Unworthy Thor enhanced costume as opposed to getting the character seperatly.

The only reason I bring this up is I'm having a hard time reconciling costumes and heroes depending on how you proceed in this new release system becuase of the past precedant set by Heroes and costume relationship.

An enhanced costume for Strange that changes a few of his skills and makes him Clea wouldn't it be better as a completely new identity to add to the roster the way Unworthy Thor is? Or becuase of the minor deviations (she would still have flames, clones, sheild, ruin, etc.) would she be better suited as an enhanced costume for Dr. Strange.

Is the logic here that complete character redesigns are their own heroes and minor deviations are costumes?

AND I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS TO THE DEVELOPERS:
I really don't care how much these costumes costs. I don't care if you have to lock them out of the blender. I don't care if they never go on sale. I don't care if they are perhaps a little bit pricier. Make this a profitable source of revenue becuase I would love to see more of these changes.

It will let people have their characters with the appropitate deviations and additions. I see this as an alternative to character releases that could really fill in that grey area that has kept so many characters from being added becuase of their similarities to other heroes but lack of 100% overlap to make complete canonical sense.

Major Q & A:

  • Are there any plans to retroactively change powers for existing Enhanced costumes (Wiccan, HulkBuster, Spidergwen etc.)?

  • If no. Are there any plans to release those costumes again for perhaps the same character with these power changes? Example: play as Scarlet Witch Wiccan or play as Wiccan Wiccan. I don't see this being a possiblity becuase of the confusion it would lead in the shop but I thought i'd ask anyway.

  • The depth to which the team plans to change powers? Just powers? Powers and talents only? Powers, talents and traits?

  • Are these changes going to be visual changes or mechanical changes? Or a mix of both?

  • Unrelated: Does the team plan on focusing on power icon changes for costumes that could use them (Spider man back in black, Spidergwen)? Related: When the team plans on moving forward with this will these enhanced costumes get unique power icons? For example: Polaris costume would get various power changes and green tint added to existing Magneto icons with art made for any new powers.

  • Are there plans to add various minor power changes to certain costumes in the future. For example a certain costume for x hero would offer more healing, or a longer bleed effect, or a lengthier stun/slow, more dash charges, etc. similar to what various costumes in Marvel Future Fight offer (allowing the character to be slightly different and improved from the defualt). Costumes could move outside of the realm of just visual changes and move into more mechanical territory.

Suggestion for Iron Man 2.0. combining all other suggestions.

Satellite Strike

Shouldn't be a flat upgrade. Now it deals more dmg, lasts longer and you can have two at the same time. No matter if it's straight upgrade or just a different power it should look different. Now it looks like recolored Jerycho. Same ground VFX, same colour explosions. It should be more than recolor.

  • Giant Unibeam from the orbit. Energy Column burning the ground.
  • Laser Piston hiting the ground repeatedly. Sky Hammer.
  • Beam of energy that rentgens you before you evaporate.

How it could look:

1. Small pistons in a ring.

  • On the ground a yellow-red circle apears.
  • From the more vibrant outer ring comes ring of the same vibrant color that gets smaller and turns into a point where there will be hit. It happens and then again, and again [is it one cycle or few between each hit I don't know]. Like driplet of water disturbing water surface but in reverse.
  • Then from the sky comes big red-yellow beam. It's size can hold at least one person. It shoots for 0,5s in the shown spot then after 0,5s it hits again. So 1 time a second. The beam doesn't feel the whole area so it can still hit more randomly [like 6 spots that overlap].
  • Change from yerycho: Energy not physcial, Bigger dmg, bigger duration and cooldown. And it have a chance for 3s after it ends hit enemies you are attacking like the current satellite does.

2. Big space laser

  • In area size of whole shield training room dummy cage big space beams will be hiting enemies.
  • Before beam hits some targeting animation chooses an enemy.
  • Then wide big beams hits in that area for 1s. It comes like a gigantic version of Mr. F Proton Emiter beam.
  • For the duration of the satellite Strike beams will more likely target enemies you hit directly before next shot.
  • It hits for 0,75-1s dealing dmg 3-4 times [TBD]. The first hit aplies 8s vulnerability. It shoots with 0,5s breaks. It lasts for 8-10s and have 15s cooldown.

Or something in between or something else. But not a reskin of Jerycho.
Here how Jericho and Satelite can differ in just mechanics with implented visual change.

Option 1 - cooldowns can differ

  • Jericho - Cooldown, single area, dmg 2/s and vulnerability.
  • Satelite - Cooldown, bigger single area, bigger dmg 2/s and vulnerability.

Option 2

  • Jericho - No Cooldown, single area, dmg 2/s and vulnerability.
  • Satelite - Cooldown, bigger single area, bigger dmg 2/s and vulnerability.

Option 3

  • Jericho - Cooldown, single area, dmg 2/s and vulnerabitlity.
  • Satelite - Much shorter cooldown, single area, much bigger dmg 2/s - lasts much shorter, and vulnerability.

Option 4

  • Jericho - No cooldown, two areas, dmg 2/s and vulnerability.
  • Satelite - Cooldown, single area, much bigger dmg 2/s and vulnerability.

In my opinion all of this upgrades [with the visual changes from main post] make both Jericho and Satelite have their place and upgrade changing Jericho into something else.

Stealth

War Machine got his. Iron Man have one stealth suit in game and 3 cool ones that can be showed in the future. Some suits gave him option to be ninja stealthy and other full invisbility My proposition is to make it as single talent:
Stealth Mode

  • Arc Reactor overload regenerates suit-power but doesn't deal dmg. It puts you in stealth for 5s.
  • When in stealth dash doesn't do dmg but prolonges stealth for 3s.
  • One melee and one ranged power do more dmg from stealth. For example:
  • Jet-Assisted Slam and/or Death from Above – and - Shotgun Repulsor and/or Unibeam.
  • [optional] Micro-Mislies don't break stealth, if single Jet-Thrust punch defeats an enemy it doesn't break stealth.

Stealth Iron Man would be just AMAZING
Even if Stealth would be simpler than above and just like the one that War Machine have.

  • Arc Reactor doesn't regenerate spirit/deal dmg but puts you in stealth for 3s.
  • All melee powers automatically criticaly hit in stealth and for 3s after breaking stealth.

Heat Mechanic

Love the idea for the talent. To bring some more physical, brutal part from War Machine to Iron Man. But it's not the best from logic stand point and mechanic on it's own.

WM heat is generated by most ranged and used by melee powers.
Here melee generate and use it - ok for melee only.
Explanation: Jet Thrusters that generate heat and work better in heat.

WM gives some powers bonus some powers are disabled.
Here melee gets bonus but you start to lose hp until you use 1 power.
Mechanically it look more like Blade's Hunger where we deal more dmg but loose hp and need serum. Extremis Healing Nanites allow you to be in the buffed state all the time losing and gaining health at times.

Instead of taking so much dmg it could be -Hp/5 and/or +Spirit Costs.
Of course taking less dmg would also work.

After this food for thought some other possible versions.

Overcharged Jet-Thrusters
All mechanism that allow IM fighting in melee are made in such a way that they are overcharged generating heat but also working much better while heated up. All other systems are prepared for this orvercharged state and able to redirect energy as needed.

  • Melee powers generate heat that goes down on their.
  • After reaching 50% heat you are heated there's visual heat around IM. Your melee powers deal more dmg.
  • After reaching 100% heat you are in overdrive which is even more visual. Your melee powers deal additional dmg and have heat vfx.
  • When in overdrive your systems have to keep you from overheating. To do this it diverts power from other systems. Non Melee powers deal -X% dmg, You lose X hp/5 and most power costs are increased by X% armor power.
  • Coolant Blast v. A. reduces all heat dealing more dmg for more heat.
  • Coolant Blast v. B. is charged power that when only pressed/taped reduces heat by 33/100 allowing you to maintain the heated state. But if charged it spends all avialable heat for more dmg and if it's 100 heat it hits as an expulsion of fire all around while cooling the armor. Allowing you to stop melee fighting if you want.

Energy Redirection System
Both rockets and every kind of repulsion generate heat on the armor. This heat is redirected to the special systems that use this heat to deal more dmg with melee attacks. If there is too much heat some systems will shut down.

  • Rockets, Lasers, Repulsors, Thrusters generate heat.
  • After reaching 50% heat the energy storages become active for Xs. Melee hits use heat and deal additional dmg. Melee hits have visual effects. If after Xs still over 50% effect refreshes.
  • After reaching 100% heat is so big that for Xs all non-melee heat generators are shut down and melee powers deal additional dmg. Visual effect on all IM. -Hp/5 or taking some dmg.
  • Coolant blasts like in previous style. So either normal or 1/3 which allows you to keep the 50-100 buff.

System Shock

The description of power and my imagination make me not being a fan of the current animation. The lightning part is great but Stark still does the shooting like he woul be expeling kinetic force. Think maybe about Iron Man spreading arms to the sides ["For your consideration Jerycho... shock to the system"]. Arms to the sides and from many points on arms and torso, from repulsors on palms that contain the width of the shock cone and of course mainly from the arc reactor itself Tony would shock enemies in arc that he hold like he would be wrestling a Hulk. - Aint' that an awesome vision? It wouldn't be shooting repulsors and it wouldn't be static Iron Man. This would be a ton of lightning that shoots from many points on the Iron Suit and you controll it like you would be riding a bull. With ferocity of shooting all of your power. From all opened parts of armor lightning hits enemies - Unlimited Poooooowaaar!

Reactive Armor vs Nanomachines Son

Simply it's about buffing the Reactive Armor in Reactive Armor.
Healing Nanintes potential: 20% hp/s for 3s every 10s + 365 every 1s. With a small number of 10000 hp it give 2000/s three times in 10s. Adding the regeneration it's 6000 + 3650 = 9650 almost all health in 10s.
Reactive Armor: 1095 dmg absorbed. Once every 5s. So it's 2200 every 10s. Less then health regeneration part of Healing Nanites or barely more than 1/3 of Rapid Healing.
I don't know numbers but I would try shields like: 3000 absorbed every 3s or 5000 every 5s.

This are all suggestions and probably can be improved upon but they are improvements on some current Mechanics, Talents, Animations and Feel of Powers in Iron Man Power Kit. Everything posted here is possible and some of it it's just numbers eand mechanics other need new animations etc. Please consider it in making Iron Man better and better in near future.

Unibeam upgraded by Upgraded Repulsors could use some more frames to look more powerful. Like it's at least a few frames held with the energy around Iron Man and then released. Now it looks like just a simple shot that have no power behind it. It would be slower but much more meaningfull and satisfying. Now the weaker unibeam that is charged look much more impresive and powerful than the more powerful version.

Wont it be easier if heroes are able to unlock the ultimate tokens even if they dont reach level 60?

I feel like it would be easier if heroes can use the ultimate tokens whether or not they are level 60 so that way the tokens wont take up space in inventory.

Being made of other hero parts isn't a problem. Problem is how it ends up working, looking, feeling. He feels uninspired, looks boring and works poorly. I've red this sentiment in many places from many people and it's a shame because he could be something more. With other heroes I know what could fix them with Nick it's harder because it's hard to find a place to even start.

  • Ammo mechanic

I think this works as a detriment not an improvement to the character.
It's hard to spend it fast enough to get charges back, there is not enough ways to spend it and you either lose a powerslot for a reload or use powers that work independed of the ammo mechanic.

  • Changes to powers

Granades with cooldowns instead of charges.
Talent Bandolier would reduce cooldown of both grandes. Fire in the Hole would get a second charge while Molecular Destabilisation Granade would throw three granades in a > shape.

Covering Fire have really boring animation changing it from sleepy swinging machine gun left to right could made it more desirable.

Drone Strike should be an area of effect like it is with the talent Eyes in the Sky [same for Black Widow's one] but with the talent the few drones change to the Red Wing and hit with more dmg on a bigger area.

  • Power Suggestions

Sniper Cover 12s cooldown power that make snipers cover you for 4s. First they hit enemies in the target are then every 1s they shoot 4-6 targets that are attacking you.

Shield Team 4 machine gun shield agents fly from the sky and surround a large area [standing on the corners of a square]. They shoot the area between them and fly away. This power get the benefit of either your dmg or summon dmg whichever is higher. Using Born Leader refreshes their long cooldown.

TC issue and issue regarding the staff of the game

I have been making posts regarding the issue with logging into the test center since the 5th of July. I only got an update on the 6th of July because I had to tag one of the staff members of the game. They said that they were going to look into when they can fix it. A new TC update goes live on the 11th of July and no update on the issue. Not even to say they're still looking into a fix or anything.

I even made a new post requesting some news or an update for the issue, guess what nothing. What is the point of having a test center if a percentage of players can't log in? New players can't log in, if you reset your password you can't login and some other players just can't log in for some reason. This issue has been around for months now, the first time this error showed up for me was in April. For some people, this issue has been there longer than that. If you're going to release a new hero and want people to test it, make sure you can at least allow players to enter the test server. How can you get a good amount of feedback whilst people can't log in?

Why the Ultimate powers dont have a visible timer cooldown indicator when we use it? Will be nice to put in the buffs spot, like other timers.

@AgentVapor @KomoriMan @Asros Since the Spider-Carnage costume is enhanced it would be nice for the character sheet name to also have Spider-Carnage listed on the roster so any in game text would refer to him as Spider-Carnage as well since this was never Cletus Kasady Carnage but was instead Ben Reilly Spider-Carnage.
