Man am I excited! Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but I just wanted to share my excitement.
I started playing this game at the end of March and really wanted to pass the Cosmic Trial so I could start doing the cosmic patrols. I got really lucky and ended up unlocking Spider-Man from a random box before the 50% off sale. I heard lots of good things about him and how easy the trial was with him. So I did my best to gear him up after hitting 60. I tried numerous times and failed miserably each time. I was distraught.
During the sale I bought Thor, who was a comic book hero of mine growing up. Since there is an XP boost for Avenger team members I decided to finally level him. I got to 60 and got some semi-decent gear for him (level 60 unique gear and a few artifacts). I tried the trial last night and failed after getting to the Red Skull phase. I gave up, I thought I was never going to pass and I'd be stuck doing normal patrols. This morning I figured I would give it one more shot. I made it to the Red Skull phase again and almost died close to 4 times. After using my ultimate and clearing the mechs, it was just me and the Skull. I thought I'd run out of time, but I was able to clear the Sentinels and and defeated Red Skull with ~30 seconds left on the timer.
This game is amazing and the Cosmic Trial was an incredible test (for me at least) and a lot of fun. I am so stoked to finally do cosmic patrols now!
