Another Test Center, Another Omega Proc Post

Let's do it. I'm not expecting this to be fixed right away, but a response about it would be nice.

The current omega system is very confusing because of the proc-based nodes that don't mention any percentages or conditions. There's more than just proc-based nodes that are confusing and wrong about omega, like having hundreds of nodes to pick from and about 40 or so are useful, but the proc-based nodes definitely don't help.

Example 1: Skrullos

Skrullos is a node that grants a nice chunk of damage rating and crit rating at an efficient cost, provided you hit with a ranged and melee power. However, due to skrullos working on a proc-coefficient, the crit rating portion is not guaranteed, and depends on how many ranged and melee powers are in the rotation, and how many dots the character has.

Example 2: Counter-Earth

+5 strength and +5 energy sounds nice, especially for Iron Fist and Vision, who benefit from the cost reduction, until you realize (or don't) that the + stat bonuses are based on proc-coefficients, so if you just have one power for the physical or energy/mental part, and it's not a dot power, this node is all but useless.

Example 3: Halfworld

You would think by now that everything in the Interstellar Exploration tree is based on procs, but that's not true. As long as if you hit with a ranged and melee power within the timeframe, Halfworld is guaranteed to activate. Not only are the conditional nodes confusing, they aren't even consistent considering that Halfworld is right next to skrullos, and activates on the same conditions (ranged and melee powers within a timeframe).

The only way to truly determine the worth of proc-based nodes like Skrullos is to hit the dummy a bunch, which is something a lot of people don't like, except us min/max nerds. The omega system is supposed to be nicer to new players now (it's not, still information overload).

Please eliminate the proc-coefficient on unlabeled nodes, or at the very least, label which nodes rely on proc-coefficients. The omega system is confusing enough as is.
