[Feedback] Green Goblin Gunner build vs CDRs

"Love is a weakness. Goblin has no weaknesses. Because Goblin loves NO ONE!"

I don't see much Norman Osborne aka Green Goblin around these days, and even less playing a Gunner build. So let's see how a full gunner movement spec is performing in CDRs. The guy is crazy like a fox so he wouldn't mind much if all of his powers are actually hitting the scenery instead of his first targets, especially if they go BOOM or pierce everything in sight !

1. GREEN GOBLIN ASSSSSETS !

First, Norman is mobile ! One if not the only toon in the entire roster who can keep using his powers while moving. Well this one is kind of tricky since it's also why you'll have real troubles in actually NOT missing your target on a Gunner build. But who CARES, your signature is already missing so let's be crazy and keep firing ANYWHERE !
Still Gunner build is really a masochist one and spamming bombs is way smoother gameplay wise, at least bombs can't miss !

Norman's Gunner build is also tricky cause even if Gunner and Oscorp Lasers aren't tagged area, they're actually piercing skills, so on a test of precision scenario you'll make HUGE holes in your enemies ! Thus Norman is quite efficient against packed enemies even on this specific build.

Best Norman's asset to start a fight is definitely his Hallucinogenic pumpkins ! I dumped some remaining points on this one to extand his efficiency and duration. Enemies who are fighting each other while you're just missing them with all of your high tech weapons is totally awesome, green goblin fully supports this !
Norman is lacking of crowd controls though, you'll need this one to survive in tough places, but be aware that remote-controlled dive has some hidden knockdown. Couldn't say if this is a bug or just missing datas on his tooltips.

Green Goblin is also a brutal beast, thanks to his strength over sanity passive and his own slot 5, you'll do tons of brutals. that's a good point since you don't want this rare shots that aren't missing to deal crappy damages ! Since Gunner, Oscorp lasers and his rockets have all been updated, they're now dealing really good damages.

Impaling boost with serrated blades spec is an awesome dash, it will apply a severe bleeding dot to your enemies and deal decent damages too. It would be better with more random bombs though. It also allows you to gear a Sabertooth's Mane, a thing i haven't tried yet, but i'll definitely try this one soon - My main concern is to make Green Goblin actually survive instead of dealing more damages at the moment but Mane is definitely what you need in a serrated blades build ! I personally tried a lab Kit cause i definitely needed some better spirit and health management - Since this build is totally hybrid (energy/physical - Ranged/melee/area) Cyclops T-Shirt couldn't help me much - Movement damages buff is always welcome though cause everything you use is movement tagged anyway. More health and tons of health regeneration is also welcome, but Spider-serum was more of a placeholder so a Mane will be definitely better damage wise.

2. GREEN GOBLIN FLAWS

First, Gunner's targeting mechanics is really bad, it definitely should lock on any target at will instead of being some Invaders reboot. Just a proposal, make it lock on target if an enemy is targeted at first, or make it fire straight forward instead if no enemy is selected when this power is activated. Simple as life !

Norman's signature Carpet Bomb is an awful signature, i mean if you're not so lucky you'll see no one dying when throwing your random crappy bombs, and even if you're hitting right in the spot, damages aren't that impressive either. Since you're invulnerable during its channeling it's actually worth of being used, but that's the most frustrating signature ever ! More bombs and more damages would be greatly appreciated.

Norman is really vulnerable to ranged attacks. He has a really good health management, but as soon as your enemies aren't hallucinating no more, you're really vulnerable to ranged enemies. Since Norman is mostly played at range you can avoid quite easily melee opponents but a defense/dodge character is just destroyed by anyone who has a gun. You'll need more deflect rating, with enough health and regeneration you won't be oneshot no more.

Gunner build also has a really tricky weakness - It only uses linear attacks, which means that you'll get screwed everytime you'll have to shoot at enemies on different levels than yours. Stairs are your enemy, and every upper level is really annoying to shoot at - You'll wish you were playing on a bomb build each time you'll have to kill Modok in AIM scenario - Be prepared !

Norman's own uniques aren't bad by any means but if you have an available darhawk armor slot 2, gear him with it. It's definitely better. On a full movement build every other unique is fine enough though.

I didn't max Gas pumpkin cause i found Goblin formula passive way more useful, i didn't need vulnerability either cause i was playing with Arachne as a TU. But if you want some extra dps feel free to max Gas grenade instead. Personally i didn't find its damage viable enough, they're pretty much badly scaling especially for a stationary area dot you'll have to recast everytime your enemies are moving...This one definitely needs a buff - Nitreous boost explosion is worthless too, so there's not much point in using such a synergy.

I wish Nitreous boost and Wing clip were better but they're really uninteresting powers with poor specs and synergies. They could have been great though but these definitely need a small QoL.

3. GREEN GOBLIN PRESENTATION

It could be better, less health and more damages but since Green Goblin's damagee mitigation is kinda low, you don't want to be oneshot in some really tough scenarios. All depends on what you need and how one is succeeding in avoiding lethal stuff in there. As i said above, a Mane is a really good investment in such a build too.

I put some points in Goblin formula Omega node cause well, you know why obviously - If not, shame on you ! :p
Gunner build is quite good at making procs happen cause Gunner is shooting at 10 hits per sec. You basically don't even care about attack speed buffs or even debuffs cause it has a raw and unmodified value of 10 per sec. I thought procs were adapting to each attack speed power's value but it seems that Goblin formula proc really often with Gunner. Need more theorycrafting there though.

Since this build is totally hybrid, Doop enchantment and War Skrull medals are probably best choices, i only use Power cosmic legendary because it's quite cheap and really efficient on a balanced build. More survivability and Tons of damage rating is always nice since you really benefit from this additional speed points, but a Gungnir 80 could do the job instead - Even a Nullifier since your brutal rating is quite high, i didn't test it personally.

BROOD CAVE CDR

Test of Skill and lightning

Brood cave is full of enemies and annoying bosses but if you can keep moving and cleaning fast enough everything is fine. Just kill every Brood savant you see first to be sure he won't protect and heal your first target though.
Test of Skill isn't to bad since GG's signature is missing a lot anyway, but you'll still need his ultimate on duplicate bosses, especially in Brood Caves: His ultimate hits like a truck, a green truck !
Test of lightning makes you loose some precious dps but skill makes you gain some so this kind of scenario is really interesting. Shortened CDs on a Movement build is really nice (Oscorp lasers and rockets are dealing tons of damage) but since you can't use your sig anymore, it's up to your personal tastes.

Stationary gunner is the best way to deal with slow enemies, you'll deal less damages but it's better for your eyes and brain.
Malekith is a really tough boss, he's moving a lot, you're moving a lot too. So it takes some time but it's no hard task on a movement build.

BAMBOO FOREST CDR

Test of Skill

Once again test of skill isn't painful with Green Goblin. Bamboo forest is a tricky scenario cause it can be really easy (urns or statues) or totally annoying or bugged. I was lucky on this one and Amplifying zones is really powerful when playing a ranged character.
Gorgon isn't hard at range, i also found that Green Goblin's movement powers range is quite impressive, he can shoot from really far.

MILITARY BASE CDR

Test of Blood and restraint - Crowd control immune

Crowd control immune enemies aren't helping much, not being able to do brutals with Green Goblin isn't helping either. Linear attacks with no possibility to rotate is really impairing Green goblin cleaning efficiency. Something should really be done about that.

Test of blood isn't affecting Green Goblin since he does have tons of health management and not much spirit issues on this build.

A.I.M. CDR

Test of precision and duplicate boss

Since Gunner, Impaling boost and Oscorp laser aren't tagged area but are affecting multiple enemies at once, test of precision makes Green Goblin slightly more efficient, especially against single targets/bosses.
Since my build is quite tanky i don't have much issues no more in AIM scenarios as long as i avoid exploding bots and keep moving to avoid plasma slow projectiles. Some scenarios are really hard when there are tons of spawning enemies, Confusion bombs are definitely your only friend there.
Duplicate living laser is quite annoying and AIM boss room is the most annoying place for Green Goblin because of its upper levels. But piercing powers are what you need against two bosses though.
