Game play Basics
To veteran players feel free to skip this section and jump down to the “Skill Setup” section via the navigation links above.
So new to the game? Got your first 60(of course it’s Gambit) and you want to know how to get into end game content, but are unsure of how to proceed? Then Kitten Mittens are the solution you have been waiting for! Wait that’s not right…
For MH2015 what is a skill rotation and what makes up a build? Well to answer the latter a build is a combination of complementary skills and supporting gear that will net you the best TTK(Time To Kill) and TTL(Time To Live.) These complementary skills are composed into a “skill rotation,” which would be a combination of buffs, spirit spender filler, damage over time, and burst skills. So an example would be: Buff > Damage Over Time > Burst > Spirit Spender > Then reapply buffs/Damage Over Time/Burst > Filling in the gaps with your Spirit Spender. And there you have it! An example of how to make your very own build! Feel free to hope in game and start experimenting and having fun :D

Itemization Basics
There are some general guidelines I normally start out with when I start a fresh 60. This may be harder for someone new to the game that doesn’t have a lot of equips built up in your stash, but it is still something to build off of and gives you a good solid foundation. When looking for these starting benchmarks I also generally take into account procs that will be up the majority of the the time.
Melee heroes I generally start with these benchmark TTL stats:
Defense: 10,000 - 13,000
Health: 20,000 - 25,000
Ranged heroes I start around here:
Defense: 8,000-10,000
Health: 18,000 - 20,000
For hybrid you will look at where you will spend the most time. For a melee heavy hybrid you will want to be using closer to the melee benchmarks. For ranged heavy you will be wanting to start closer to the ranged stats, but not under them! That will make you too squishy for end game.
On the offensive side of things I generally start both off the same:
Crit Rating: 3,470(50% crit chance)
Critical Damage Rating: 10,000
Brutal Rating: 3,470(50% brute chance)
Brutal Damage Rating: 10,000
Either flat damage rating or damage rating in your damage type to around 3,000 +
After that it is all about tooling the stats around your specific hero. Some have more general survival skills than others and some can’t get the same damage numbers as others. Some heroes you really need to pay attention to Attack Speed right off the bat like Cyclops and his Focused Beam. These are really just general guidelines to get you started on your journey!
