Anyone else find ranged harder to play?

I find that I can't dps as a ranged in the more difficult content because I have to move too much to avoid being a smear on the pavement and since the mouse is used for moving and aiming the aoe abilities I can't do both at the same time.

Moving the mouse back and forth takes so long that I end up unable to pass the cosmic trial for example on any ranged. I either die trying to dps or survive but take way too long to kill.
