INTRO:

The build below is melee based and high risk/reward with us using the Never Sated Serum spec in order to gain max stacks of Bloodlust and use at the optimum time (sig up and boss in our face!). I'll provide details of two variations of this build. One for trash and general content and one for single target gameplay (raids, terminal farming). If you want to avoid a high risk playstyle, simply change spec on his Serum, it's as easy as that :)

STATS AND ITEMS BASE BUILD:

62k effective health, 380 spirit, 3.6k Physical damage, 30% attack speed, 60% crit & 62% brut chance, 310% crit damage and 620% brut damage.

For the TLDR amongst us, I've provided a link to my build on the Marvel Heroes Items Base below:

1.1 POWER TREE:

  • Which of these two skills you choose depends on the content you're doing, Toxin-Loaded Gauntlets: Raids, Hyper-Toxin Grenade: General content.

  • My preferred Grievous Wounds applicator is Whip Lash; However, the other 3 white highlighted skills can also be very useful and in my opinion it comes down to flavour what you use. If you're using multi-spec 2 and Toxin-Loaded Gauntlets for raiding change to a ranged applicator to ensure you benefit from hybrid ranged/melee Omega buffs.

1.2 SKILLS BREAKDOWN:

As Blade has a few interchangeable skills that serve the same purpose but do it in a slightly different way as noted above, I will also list details of these in italics along with my core skills of the main Bloodlust build. It's up to you wish one you like the feel of.

Max points:

Any means necessary: Our only real option for melee build when it comes to single target spirit spenders.

Whip Lash: My preferred Grievous Wounds applicator. I like this as it's melee (get buffed from Excal), a great trash clearer and amazing for helping us reposition on bosses as tapping it allows us to run through them and do damage at same time. This move also has the benefit of being a channel that snapshots our Bloodlust buff so if you're feeling lazy you can hit your 10 stacks, pop serum then run around with a fully buffed Whip Lash until your stacks are back up again (this is great for groups of CMM bosses) :).

Glaive Orbit: For my RMB and trash clearer its a choice of this, Whittle into Kindling, Whip Lash and Unleash Glaive. As they all provide Grevious Wounds it's down to what one you prefer the feel of.

Stake through the Heart: Nice high damage execute skill. Make sure enemy is bleeding before hitting this for an extra 50% dmg.

Toxin-Loaded Gauntlets: I swap this with Hyper Toxin Grenade depending on the content (This excels in single target where the enemy is static i.e. Raids). As noted above do also use a ranged Grievous Wounds applicator if you're using this to ensure that you get the full benefits from hybrid Omega nodes.

Advanced Technique: Great sig. Offering utility and damage. Get it maxed! Make sure to be close for third hit as it can miss easily. You will also want to pop serum at full bloodlust after the 1st section (Shadow Moon).

Hyper-Toxin Grenade: Amazing trash clearing skill and helps us proc ranged portion of HPP. For raids and more single target orientated content I swap this for Toxin-Loaded Gauntlets.

Max Points:

The Serum: Doesn't scale incredibly well but we max this as we have enough points anyway! You want to use Never Sated spec and we want to use this when at 10 stacks of Bloodlust and then follow it up straight away with our sig for some insane damage. As it now charges a lot faster you can use it twice per sig rotation (once at full 10 stacks for sig, midway through cooldown at another 10 stacks and then full stacks again when sig refreshes). If you find you struggle with the health loss on Never Sated simply switch to either In Control or Only when Necessary. With our current high loh setup, this will make you pretty damn tanky (In Control is great in CMM).

Long-Lived: Offensive passive. We all know by know that these are maxed no questions asked. Also our CC.

Party Crasher: Great for getting us right in to the thick of the action!

1 Points Wonders:

The Ride: Slow but if riding about is your bag, drop a point in it!

Deadly Dash: Another 1 pointer. Great for getting us around, however for repositioning on bosses use Whip Lash instead (more accurate and does nice damage at same time).

1.3 KEYBIND SETUP & MULTI-SPEC:

I like to have an general all purpose build for Terminal running, CMM etc. and a slightly different more single target focused build for raids. Both keybind setup's are listed below:

Spec 1: General:

Spec 2: Single Target:

Note the use of a ranged Grievous Wounds applicator to gain proc on our hybrid Omega nodes. For Onslaught farming I simply stick his CC break on a 2nd bar and switch to it when stunned and an Orb has spawned.

1.4 SKILL ROTATION:

General:

Hyper-Toxin Grenade > Party Crasher > Whip Lash > Stake through the Heart then spam Any means necessary before repeating.

Single Target:

Party Crasher > Toxin-Loaded Gauntlets > Ranged Grievous Wounds skill of choice > Stake through the Heart then spam Any means necessary before repeating.

For both rotations always try and use your sig when you have max stacks (10) of Bloodlust for 30% health regen, 20% attack/movement speed, 60% damage and 100% CDR/BDR; However, if needed and your health is dangerously low, Serum can be a great uh oh moment button. If using Whip Lash tap this to reposition on a boss rather than Deadly Dash. Much more accurate and we do damage at the same time.

1.5 LEVELLING STRATEGY:

No real problems levelling this guy, nice and simple. If your struggling for spirit stick on a River of Souls.
