Time for another patented @lesotheron Wall O' Text.
We all know @zavira is one of the most generous people in the world, and definitely the most generous on these forums. However, his generosity comes at a price. For quite some time now, his Giveaways have been plagued by people who seem to only want to make his life more difficult.
People who don't bother to read what few rules there are. People who read the rules, but refuse to actually follow them. People who want to make up their own rules as they go. All of these and more have shown up in @zavira Giveaways, throwing a wrench in what should be a smooth, simple machine. Instead of @zavira being able to pop in, hold a giveaway, distribute prizes and then pop out again, it became a laborious process.
I tried to help simplify things. I made Flowcharts and diagrams. I took the time to explain the rules in far more detail than they should have required. I even started making fun .gifs and memes to chide people into playing fair. It seems the more I tried to make things easy, the more other people want to make problems.
Don't get me wrong, it allowed me to cut loose a little and have fun pointing out the stupid things people were doing. I got to have fun and @zavira got to be his overly-generous self. It didn't run smoothly, but it ran. Sometimes, that's good enough.
Not anymore. @zavira has graciously put up 1450 of his hard-earned Gs to provide yet another prize. But this time, we're not playing by his rules.
We're playing by mine.
I made 6 total Flowcharts for Giveaways, 5 of which everybody has seen. I now present to you the 6th and final Flowchart, the Flowchart I hoped I'd never have cause to use.
So, here are the rules:
1) Your post, your entry, your prize. No entering for other people.
2) One post, one entry, one prize. One entry per person. Specify a single item worth 1450 Gs or less, that is currently in the store, that you'd like for a prize.
3) Invalid post, invalid entry, invalid prize. You don't follow the rules, you don't get entered.
4) No post, no entry, no prize. I have no plans for anyone getting Psylocked in this Giveaway. I have no idea what @zavira 's plans may be.
5) Inappropriate post, inappropriate entry, inappropriate prize. Having fun is good. Being stupid...isn't. If you can't keep it clean and respectful, keep it somewhere else.
With any luck, we'll have a quick, clean Giveaway. I don't expect it to happen, but it would be a nice surprise.
