I just want to get this out of the way; this is by no means a jab, diss, or shot at Marvel 2016, but an off topic Marvel thread of sorts. I get that Marvel is heroes only, and DCUO/CO are a hop and skip away.
Marvel is more of a MOBA, or a linear MMO, which is actually quite hard to come by now and days. Even games such as The Division, or Destiny one can create an avatar, hence I am inclined to categorize Marvel 2016 as a MOBA, or ARPG. Some like it, others do not, subjective. Some like me think it is quite strange to have multiple Blades running around, or Spidermen, but anyway, that is not what this thread is about, because it may also be weird to have "Gokus'" running around in a DC game.
For the numerous MMORPG fans such as myself, and guys whom are also into comics, do you think Marvel will ever create a true MMORPG? DC has one, with heavy elements of iconic play (Playing as the trade mark guys as opposed to created characters).
Do you think this will ever happen?
Do you think a Marvel MMORPG can dethrone DCUO as the G.O.A.T superhero MMO, being multi-platform with a character creator?
Actually, I think it would be sweet to have a Marvel MMORPG live alongside with Marvel 2016.
