Did adding Civil War mess up the Summer Event?

I played about an hour last night, and didn't get a single Summer buff out of Cosmic Midtown. Stacks and stacks of Civil War currency, but nothing for the Summer Event. I thought the Summer stuff was supposed to last until the middle of September?
