New Blessing Rage!

Seriously though, I'd like to propose an analogy to explain my feelings on the matter.

Let's say you go to a Mechanic to get your car repaired.

The Mechanic offers you a special Tune-Up Service that will keep your car running smoothly for a set price per year. The special comes with free Tire Rotations every three months.

But there's a mistake on the contract. Instead of "Free Tire Rotations every 3 months", it says "Free Tires every 3 months".

Once the Mechanic notices the error, he tells you that it's clearly a mistake. He can't do much about it since you already signed the deal, but that's NOT how it's supposed to be and it WILL NOT be that way in the future.

The way I see it, there are three possible responses to this situation:

1) Be a decent Human Being. DON'T take advantage of the mistake. It wasn't intentional and you wouldn't want someone taking advantage of you if you messed up.

2) Be a little bit of a jerk. Take a set of tires if you need them. Because, hey, it's not your fault he goofed. Besides, only an idiot turns down free stuff.

3) Be a typical person. Take every single set of tires, whether you need them or not. Sell any extras to make money off of his misfortune. Then rant and rave and yell and scream at the Mechanic for not allowing you to extend your contract indefinitely. How DARE he say that the mistake is fixed. You're not getting to take even MORE advantage of the mistake, so it's clearly more broken than it ever was.

I'll freely admit, I'm much more Category 2 than I will ever be Category 1. For those in Category 3...
