I wrote this is another thread within this section, so I thought that I would make its own post with the idea that it could assist someone else with their Vision.

The Vision is arguably the most complicated character with the most original mechanics in the entire roster. While others have equal originality, the combined complexity of itemization, omegas, rotation and mechanics do not compare, imo.

Solar Energy:

Solar energy stacking for max capacity is inefficient, but to neglect solar energy itemization will greatly lower your DPS.

In the above video I both explode my Pet and maintain Tri-beam for 11 seconds WITHOUT stopping. My signature with the on hit mechanic is approximetly on a 14-15 second CD, I explode my pet every time within each rotation, and execute my sig and pet explode inside Holographic Manipulation.

Addressing some of the information given:

Solar energy's 15% recovery is not base solar energy, but total solar energy.

• Solar Energy Pool of 1500 = a 15% regen of 225 per second

• Solar Energy Pool of 2000 = a 15% regen of 300 per second (75 more regen per second)

• Keep in mind that both phase and solar bolt add aprox. 80 regen per second, and that is activating two powers.

To test this simply put on Gibberons, Mkraan Crystal and/or the Arc Reactor Artifact and channel tri-beam in the training room. It will quickly become evident that you are able to channel tri-beam longer not because your pool is larger (though this is part of it), but because your regen per second is greater.

Tip: You need to have your duration and sustain (PD and Solar Energy) be approximately 3 second below your Sig CD. This alone adds complexity to the Vision that nearly no other character has, for good and bad.

• The build above can channel Tri-beam for 11 seconds, and has a 14-15 second sig CD with the on hit mechanic.

Tri-Beam and Surface of the Sun (through your buffs Channeled Solar Beam, Solar Flare and regen activation), is the foundation of your DPS. Therefore, if you can maintain Tri-beam at the sweet spot of 3-4 seconds below your Sig CD, you are maximizing your DPS foundation.

• Signature and Pet Explode is your secondary damage that can result in a combined brutal of 28-32 Million, with both only at rank 42.

Ideal Solar Energy to pull off the above build: 1900-2000

Conclusion:

• If you neglect Solar Energy, you lose DPS.

• If you overly stack Solar Energy, you lose DPS.

• If your sustain is longer than your buff durations, you lose DPS.
• If your sustain is shorter than your buff duration, you lose DPS.
• If your Sustain is longer than your sig CD, you lose DPS (re-itemize/omega for more DPS)
• If your sustain is less than 3-4 seconds (5+ seconds and out of solar energy) than your sig CD, you lose DPS.
• If you desire to explode your pet with Tri-beam, reaching 48% sig CD reduction with the above balance if itemization/omegas/rotation is essential.

When you pull the above off in itemization, rotation and omegas, you win:

Edit: Criticism of the above build is Psionic Overload and Mind Over Matter Omegas used at the same time. Just because I can explode my pet, does not mean I have to all the time. When in zones and as needed, I use my pet to taunt. The taunt + invis for 5 seconds means I remain untouched, and my pet can tank the bosses the whole time. The Vision is a hidden gem...
